Presenting the Lady Jane Grey

I hadn't mentioned we'd gotten a kitten, had I? We'd talked about adopting a cat since we hadn't had luck with a canine companion for Belle and one weekend we went around town visiting shelters to see if we could find "the one". We ended up finding a sweet little gray tabby at the Pima County Animal Control shelter and decided to adopt her on the spot! She came home the next day after being spayed and has been living with us for a few weeks now.

We decided on the name "Jane Grey" for a few reasons..one being that she's a gray cat (I was informed that technically she is a "blue tabby"). We brainstormed names while driving home that Sunday from the shelter and since hubs is a history teacher and we're both big fans of the Tudors series we quickly thought of the poor, unfortunate "Jane Grey" - thankfully this little Jane has a happier ending to her story!

She's a small girl, about 5 lbs and unlikely to get much bigger. She's the perfect size for the basket from New Mexico, though she'll sleep anywhere. We've found that she is starting to mimic the dog in her behavior...sleeping in the tiny kitten bed we originally bought for her kitty carrier and never expected her to use it at home! They sleep together in our bed during the day and both beg for belly rubs when we get home!

She is BEAUTIFUL! I'm so happy for all of you!

I know Allen wants a cat - but my allergies won't allow it. Makes me so sad when I see a cutie like your little lady.
